A Night to Remember: The Couple's Blind Date Experience

As part of a recent dating experience, the two individuals discussed what they felt about the time they spent.

From Jenny's Side

What did you expect?
A person I could connect with, share genuine laughter with, and not cringe at.

Initial thoughts?
When Nova arrived, hoodie, swagger and all, I thought: “He looks like that classic cool guy from high school.” Yet when he grinned, said sorry for his tardiness, acknowledged it wasn't ideal, and we started laughing immediately. I found myself surprisingly impressed.

What was your conversation like?
We had a smooth, effortless chat. He inquired about things, I made inquiries, and neither of us monologued. Special and invigorating.

Any uncomfortable situations?
There were no awkward moments.

How were the dining etiquette?
Outstanding. No messy eating, no cutlery carnage and no noisy drinking.

Best thing about Nova?
His comedic nature, proper gentleman vibes, and completely grounded. He offered me his jacket when we left, and not in a cheesy way. Plus, his canine act – hilariously over-the-top, but I was crying laughing.

Would Nova fit in with your friends?
Definitely, he'd become part of our social media circles.

Summarize Nova in three terms
Humorous, down-to-earth, unexpectedly polished.

How do you think Nova perceived you?
My sense is he was impressed. We talked continuously and had a fun goodbye kiss.

Did you go on somewhere?
Indeed.

Tell me about the kissing situation
A little one to seal the night. Classic end to an unexpectedly lovely date.

What would you do differently?
Just the six-minute wait and mistakenly identifying multiple men as my companion. I was drained before the poor guy even arrived.

Rating on a scale of ten?
Solid nine.

Would you meet again?
Yes – I’d like to see where this goes.

From Nova's Angle

What did you want from this?
No-cost dinner and enjoyable atmosphere – I received exactly that!

First impressions?
Damn, this girl can drink.

What was your conversation?
We spent the night comparing accent imitations. I’m no good at accents, however, my dog imitation is excellent.

Most embarrassing incident
The attendant questioned about food sensitivities and she misheard and replied, “Thank you, same to you.”

Acceptable table behavior?
We made a pact not to judge each other's manners, however, it resembled that well-known strategic situation: are we both planning to work together?

What stood out about Jenny?
She competed well in our arm-wrestling match.

Would you introduce Jenny to your friends?
Absolutely!

Describe Jenny in three words
Amusing, charismatic and animated.

How do you think Jenny perceived you?
A swell guy? I can't be sure.

Did you go on somewhere?
We visited a pub.

So, was there any kissing?
A knowledgeable person suggested keeping private matters private.

If you could change one thing about the evening, what would it be?
As she was trying to show me something on her phone, there was a guy’s fully nude video on there. Hopefully that wouldn't have taken place, yet it became comical.

Score on a scale of ten?
A nine – one point deducted for the above (I’m joking, the comedy surpassed the awkwardness).

Would you meet again?
I think we may.

The couple enjoyed their evening at a popular dining establishment with both showing openness to additional encounters.
